Benefit - J. Qualifying relocation expense payments and benefits - List

Use

Employers / Contractors sometimes provide employees with assistance when they have to move home to take up a new job or when there is a change in the location of their existing job. Such assistance might include:

• Paying the fees connected with their house sale and purchase
• Meeting the cost of travel to the new location for house hunting trips
• Paying for the cost of moving household furniture and effects.

There is an exemption that removes the tax and NICs liability on certain removal expenses and benefits up to a limit of £8000. This screen displays the list of qualifying relocation expense payments and benefits provided to the particular employee you selected.

Fields Available

The top row displays the details such as name, department, E-Mail address etc. of the selected employee.

The following details are displayed further.

• Ref. No.: This field is automatically generated.
• Benefit From Date: This field displays the date from which the benefit was provided.
• Benefit To Date: This field displays the date up to which the benefit was provided.
• Employer's Cost: This field displays the total cost incurred by the employer / contractor for the benefit.
• Cash Equivalent Amount: The cash equivalent amount will be displayed here.
• Action: The various tasks associated with the data in each row will be displayed here. For example, Save, Edit, Remove, etc.

Associated Tasks

• Add New Relocation Expense: To enter details of a new relocation expense, click on this button. It will open the Qualifying relocation expenses payments and benefits Add screen.
• View/Edit: To view or edit the details of the relocation expense provided to the employee, click on the View/Edit button relating to the respective relocation expense record. It will open the Qualifying relocation expenses payments and benefits View screen.
• Remove: To delete any relocation expense details click on the Remove button relating to the respective relocation expense record.
• Done: If you have finished viewing the details and wish to leave this screen, click on this button. You will be taken back to the Assign Benefits screen.
