Basic Pay Calculator

Use

Basic pay calculator helps you to calculate the hourly rate for different pay frequencies. Once you have specified the total amount to be paid for the pay type and the working hours, this service will automatically calculate the Basic pay for the pay frequency you want. You need not manually enter number of hours and amount for different pay frequencies.

Basic Pay Calculator is an additional feature provided by this service. The results displayed here, is merely suggestions made by this service. If you are not satisfied with these results you can ignore them and manually calculate it yourself on the Payrun screen.

Fields Available

• Pay Type: From the drop down menu select the specific pay type and in the corresponding Amount field, enter the amount to be paid to the employee in the specified period. For example, If you would like to pay your employee £5000 per year, then select Annual Pay from the drop down list and enter £5000 in the Amount field.
• Working Hours: From the drop down list, select the work frequency type and in the corresponding field enter the number of working hours the employee has to work for the specified frequency. For example, If the employee has to work for 40 hours in a week, then select the Working Hours frequency as Weekly from the drop down list and enter 40 in the Hours field.
• Pay Frequency: From the drop down list, select how frequently the employee is paid.

Recommended Results

The results displayed here are based on the values that you have entered. Please note that these results are merely a suggestion made by us. If you are not satisfied with these results you can always ignore them and manually calculate the values yourself.

• Hours: This field displays the number of hours the employee has worked for the selected pay frequency.
• Rate: This field displays the rate at which the employee is paid per hour.
• Basic Pay Amount: The basic pay amount to be paid to the employee for the selected pay frequency is displayed here.

Associated Tasks

• Calculate: To calculate the basic pay, enter the values and click on this button.
• Done: If you have finished calculating the basic pay and wish to leave this screen, click on this button. You will be taken back to the PayRun screen.
