Chart of Setup
Use
The Chart of Setup section is where you can customise the various benefits. You can go through each option described here and enter the information as appropriate.

Fields Available
- Department Setup: You can use this option to setup different types of departments. Our service provides you with some departments, which can be edited. Further you can create your own departments.
- Cost Center Setup: You can use this option to setup different types of cost centers. Our service provides you with some cost centers, which can be edited. Further you can create your own cost centers.
- Assets transferred (cars, property, goods or other assets): This benefit comes into effect when an asset is transferred to the employee at less than the asset's market value. These assets can be car, property, goods etc. You can view the list of pre defined items under this benefit. You cannot create a new item under this benefit.
- Payments made on behalf of employee: This benefit comes into effect when any payment is made by the employer / contractor on behalf of the employee. (i.e., payments made by the employer / contractor to a third party for which the employee is legally responsible). You can view the list of pre defined items under this benefit. The user cannot create a new item under this benefit.
- Vouchers or credit cards: For tax purposes, vouchers and credit cards provided to an employee or to a relation of the employee, by his or her employer / contractor, are taxable. Vouchers and credit cards, provided to the employee or a relation of the employee, by a third party, are also taxable if the reason they were provided was his or her employment. You can view the list of pre defined items under this benefit. You can enter a new item if the pre-defined items do not meet your requirements.
- Cars and Fuel: Car benefit is a tax on an employee for the benefit of having a car available for private use and is also used to assess liability for Class 1A NICs. It does so by treating the employee as though their earnings for tax were higher by a notional sum (the `cash equivalent' of the benefit). You can setup here the details of company cars that are available, which can be later assigned to your employees.
- Vans: Van benefit is a tax on an employee for the benefit of having a van available for private use. It treats the employee as though their earnings for tax were higher by a notional sum (the `cash equivalent' of the benefit. You can setup here the details of vans that are available and it can be later assigned to your employees.
- Interest-free and low interest loans: A director or employee will receive a benefit by reason of their employment when he or she, or any of their relatives, is provided with a cheap or interest free loan. You can view the list of pre defined items, under this benefit. You can create a new loan item, if the pre-defined items do not meet your requirements.
- Private medical treatment or insurance: This benefit comes into effect when the cost of all medical and dental expenses of an employee are arranged and paid for by the employer / contractor and the employer / contractor pays all premiums for insurance against such treatment. You can view the list of pre defined items under this benefit. You can create a new item if the pre-defined items do not meet your requirements.
- Services supplied: This benefit comes into effect when an employer / contractor provides any services to their employees, where the contract is between the employer / contractor and the service provider. The amount chargeable in respect of the service supplied to the employee, is the additional cost to the employer / contractor of providing the service. You can view the list of pre defined items, under this benefit. You can create a new item if the pre-defined items do not meet your requirements.
- Assets placed at the employee's disposal: This benefit comes into effect when an asset is placed at the disposal of the employee. You can view the list of pre defined items, under this benefit. You cannot create a new item under this benefit.
- Other items (including subscriptions and professional fees): You can view the list of pre defined items, under this benefit. You cannot create a new item under this benefit.
- Expenses payments made to, or on behalf of, the employee: You can view the list of pre defined items, under this benefit. You can create a new item if the pre-defined items do not meet your requirements.
