Ongoing Mileage Record (Motorcycle) - Add

Use

Mileage allowance payments are defined as "amounts (other than passenger payments) paid to an employee in respect of expenses in connection with the use by him for business travel of a qualifying vehicle". If the employer / contractor pays more than the AMAPs (Approved Mileage Allowance Payments) amount, the excess should be returned on form P11D.

Passenger payments can be paid to

•  Employees using their own car or van (and so eligible for approved mileage allowance payments)
•  Employees using a company vehicle for which they are charged tax for the benefit in kind (but not eligible for mileage allowance payments).

If the employer pays more than the maximum amount, the excess should be returned on form P11D. In this screen you can enter the details of the mileage payment made to the selected employee for using a motorcycle.

Assign Benefits > Mileage allowance and passenger payments > Motorcycle > View / Update > Add New Mileage Record

Fields Available

The top row displays the details such as name, department, E-Mail address etc. of the selected employee.

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.

Ongoing mileage records

• Date of Travel: Enter here the date on which the employee travelled using the motorcycle and for which the mileage payment was made. You can use the calendar button to enter the date.
• Memo: Enter here the purpose for which the employee used the motorcycle for which you provided the mileage allowance.
• Total business miles travelled by the employee: Enter here the total miles travelled by the employee for business purposes.
• Mileage Rate: Enter here the mileage rate you provide per mile.
• Mileage allowance payments made to employee: This field displays the total mileage allowance payment made to the employee.
• Amount made good by employee: If the employee has paid you back any amount then enter it here.

Associated Tasks

• Cancel: If you wish to exit this screen without saving the details, click on this button. You will be taken back to the Ongoing Mileage Record (Motorcycle) - List screen.
• Save: To save the details, click on this button. The Ongoing Mileage Record (Motorcycle) - List screen appears displaying the newly added details.
