Edit Working Pattern
Use
In this screen you can replace an existing work pattern for the employee. Our package provides you a chart of pre-defined work patterns that can be assigned to the employee. You also have an option to create your own Working day pattern if the predefined work patterns does not meet up your requirements.
Note: The work patterns are used in the calculation of SSP and SMP. If you change an assigned work pattern then any SSP or SMP calculations for this period will be inaccurate and will need to be recalculated.

Fields Available
Edit Working Pattern
- Working Pattern Start Date: Enter here the start date for the work patterns you selected. Please note that the work pattern should start on a Sunday. You can use the calendar button to enter the date.
Chart of Work Patterns
Select the working day pattern you wish to assign from the chart of work patterns and click on Add button. The work patterns you have selected will appear under Work Patterns box. If you wish to remove any of these work patterns, then select the work pattern you want to remove and click on Remove button.
If the chart of work patterns does not meet your requirements and if you would like to create your own Work Pattern then click on link provided below to create additional work patterns.
The chart of Work Pattern displays the following details:
- Working Pattern Ref.: This field displays any reference for your working pattern.
- Working Day Pattern: This field displays the working day pattern according to the Working/Qualifying day and Non Working / Non Qualifying day you have selected from the drop down list for the one whole week.
Associated Tasks
- Add: To add a work pattern for the employee, select the required work pattern from the Chart of Work Patterns on the left hand side and click on this button. It will be added to the list of Work Patterns.
- Remove: To remove a work pattern, select the respective work pattern from the Work Patterns list in the right hand side and click on this button. It will be removed from the list of Work Patterns.
- Cancel: If you wish to exit this screen without saving the changes, click on this button.
- Read Me First: The Read Me First screen suggests you the possible pre-requisites that you need to follow before proceeding with a given task. To go through the requirements, which are needed before adding a new work pattern, click on this button.
- Replace: If you are sure about all the entries and wish to continue, click on this button. You will be taken back to the Employee Work Pattern Details screen, where all the changes can be viewed.
