Edit Car Model

Use

The Car Model section allows you to create the common car models that are available in your organisation. Later you can add the car registration number and other relevant details to it by selecting the required car model in the Add New Car details section under the Car/Van & fuel module.

In this screen you can modify the details of a car model.

Path

Employer / Setup > Chart of Setup > Car Model > View/Edit > Edit

Fields Available

Essential Model Details

• Make: Enter here the make of the car.
• Model: Enter here the model of the car.
• List Price: Enter here the list price of the car.
• Fuel / Power Type: From the combo box, select the fuel used in the car.

Optional Model List

• Year: Enter here the year in which the car was manufactured.
• Color: Enter here the color of the car.
• Classic Car Value: Enter here the market value of the car if it is a classic car.

Note: A car is considered a classic if it is 15 or more years old, if it has a classic value of £15,000 or more and if its current market value is more than the original price.

• Optional Accessory Cost: Enter here the cost of any accessories (if any) that was added to the car since its registration. For e.g. car stereo, sun roof etc.
• M.O.T Date: Enter here the MOT due date. You can use the calendar button to enter the date.

Note: The Ministry Of Transport (MOT) decides the valid period of the automobile inspection permit for vehicles that are three or more years old.

• Engine Size: Enter here the engine size of the car.
• Approved CO2: Enter here the carbon dioxide emission figure of the car in grams per kilometer.
• Purchased Date: Enter here the date when the car was purchased. You can use the calendar button to enter the date.
• Purchased Price: Enter here the price of the car when it was purchased.

Associated Tasks

• Cancel: If you wish to exit this screen without saving the details, click on this button. You will be taken back to the View Car Model screen.
• Save Model: To save the changes, click on this button. The Car Model List screen will appear, displaying the modified car model.
