Agent E-Filing Details - Edit
Use
Our e-services enable you to E-File RTI such as the FPS, EPS, NVR directly to the HMRC. It further enables you to E-File your P11D / P11D(B), as well as the quarterly P46(car), to the HM Revenue & Customs. It also enables you to view your client's HMRC Data Provision Services (DPS) to receive Auto Tax Code updates, Notices and other HMRC E-Mails. In order to use any of these e-services you must be registered with the HMRC as an Agent for PAYE Online Services and must enter here the HMRC User ID, Password and Gateway Agent Identifier that the HMRC issued to you when you registered.
To enter or modify your HMRC agent details select the "I am an Agent/Bureau acting on behalf of an employer / contractor" option and click on the Edit button
Please note: When you register for and activate PAYE Online for Employers your organisation will automatically receive HMRC statutory notices (such as Tax Code changes, Collection of Student Loans and reminders over the Internet by Data Provision Services (DPS). Paper notices will no longer be sent out.

Agent E-Filing Setup Details
- Your Client's Name: Your client's name will be displayed here.
- Your Client's Employer's / Contractor's PAYE Reference: Enter here your client's Employer's / Contractor's PAYE reference. It can be found on any documents or correspondence received from the tax office, such as the yellow paying in book and P35 form.
- Accounts Office Reference: Enter here your Accounts Office Reference number.
- HMRC User ID (Agent): Enter here your HM Revenue & Customs agent's User ID. Your HMRC Agent User ID is the ID you obtained from the HM Revenue & Customs for the purpose of signing in to the UK Government Gateway and also for E-Filing your client's EOY returns. If you do not have an ID and password, Click here to apply for one now.
- HMRC Password (Agent): Enter here your HM Revenue & Customs agent's password. Your HMRC Agent Password is required to sign-in to the UK Government Gateway, and also for E-Filing your client's EOY returns. If you do not have ID and password, Click here to apply for one now.
- HMRC Agent Reference: Enter here the HM Revenue & Customs agent reference. Your HMRC Agent Reference is required to enroll for the PAYE Online for Agents Service at the UK Government Gateway. For more information Click here.
- Gateway Agent ID: Enter here the gateway agent ID. The government department that handles the service (s) for which you are enrolling as an Agent issues your HMRC Agent Gateway Identifier (Agent ID). To enable your customers to assign your business as their Agent, you need to provide them with your Gateway Agent Identifier. This is provided at the end of the enrollment process. - Agent's Company Name: Enter here the agent's Company name.
- Agent's Address: Enter here the agent's address.
- Town / City: Enter here the Town/City of the agent's address.
- County: Enter here the county of the Agent's address.
- Post Code: Enter here the postcode of the Agent's address.
- Country: Enter here the country of the Agent's address.
- Agent's E-Mail: Enter here the Agent's E-Mail address
- Contact Person's Title: From the drop down list, select the agent's contact person's title.
- Contact Person's Surname: Enter here the surname of the agent's contact person.
- Contact Person's Forename: Enter here the forename of the agent's contact person.
- Contact Person's Second Forename: Enter here the second forename of the agent's contact person.
- Contact Tel. No. 1: Enter here the agent's telephone number.
- Contact Tel. No. 2: Enter here any additional telephone number of the agent.
- Contact Fax No.: Enter here the agent's fax number.
Associated Tasks
- Cancel: If you wish to exit this screen without saving the changes, click on this button.
- Save: If you are sure about all the entries and wish to continue, click on this button. You will be taken back to the HMRC E-Filing Setup screen, where all the changes can be viewed.
