EPS E-Filing Option
Use
In this screen you can select the options of Employer Payment Summary (EPS) in E-Filing and E-File the EPS

Fields Available
- Option 1 - Claiming Employment Allowance: Here you can Claim / Amend / Cease Employment Allowance
- Option 2 - Making a Reclaim: Here you can E-File your usual EPS containing the records of all your payments to HMRC for the tax year such as SMP, SPP, SAP, CIS, NICs Holiday Recovery and so on for reclaim. If the employees' has suffered CIS deductions they will report the amount here, which will be subtracted from the amount of PAYE due to be paid to HMRC
- Option 3 - Inactivity EPS - Report Future Period of Inactivity: If you know you're not going to be paying any employees' for a while you should let HMRC know. For this you have to E-file an EPS to HMRC using this option. The period you don't pay is referred as 'period of inactivity'. But whenever you start paying employees' again you must be sure to send HMRC a monthly return immediately when it is due to avoid being charged a penalty. If there is going to be a period of inactivity then HMRC will not expect any other returns nor any payment for the period stipulated.
- Option 4 - No Payment EPS: Here you can E-File a Nil EPS as soon as you start paying employees' again after Period of inactivity is completed to avoid being charged a penalty. These EPS will be for the months which are referred as 'period of inactivity'.
- Option 5 - No Reclaim: When there is no payment to be claimed for a particular month from HMRC you can E-File EPS from this option.
- Option 6 - View EPS (Employer Payment Summary): The EPS E-Filed report records all your payments to HMRC for the tax year. The EPS E-Filed Status report will total all your employees’ PAYE tax, NICs and Student Loan deductions for each tax month/quarter and shows total amount payable to HMRC.
