The Assign Benefits screen is the section where you can assign benefits to your current and former employees. The screen lists the names of all your current and former employees of the current tax year on one side, and all the various types of benefits on the other.
To assign a benefit to any employee, simply select the employee from the Current / Former Employee List section and then select the appropriate benefit type which you wish to assign to the employee, from the Benefit Types section. You will then be taken to the respective benefit screen where you can enter the benefit details.
Note that you can move to any other section from this screen. If you wish to switch over to any other tasks, simply select the required task from the tasking zone and proceed.
Please note you can assign the benefit to a former employee only if has been terminated or issued a P45 in the current tax year.

The Employee List area displays the following details. By default all your existing and former employees who are assigned the P11D status will be listed here. If you wish to list your employees alphabetically, then click on the respective letter provided here to list the employees whose name starts with letter you selected.
