SSP1(L) and Link Letter Setup - Edit

Use

SSP1 (L) is a record from a previous employer / contractor, which is issued on request to employees who have received SSP in the 8 weeks before they stop working for that employer / contractor. If your new employee gives you a SSP1 (L) form, you should enter its details here. It may effect their entitlement to SSP.

Linking letter forms are given by the Department for Work and Pensions offices to people who have recently claimed benefits. If a new employee goes sick for 4 or more calendar days in the first 8 weeks of working for you, you should ask them if they were given one of these forms. It may effect their entitlement to SSP.

Note

According to the absence dates entered by, SSP will recur as appropriate each time the pay is processed. However, the SSP will not automatically re-run unless the employee concerned is selected/ticked to be included in the payrun being processed. The payslip, which would advise of the SSP payment, will only be produced if the pay of the employee concerned is actually calculated and updated.
