Former Employee YTD Pay Data Details
Use
The Year To Date (YTD) pay data screen displays the cumulative totals of the former employee till his/her date of leaving. You can view the current NI (as on date of leaving), previous NI and total National Insurance details of the former employee for the tax year.

Employee's YTD Pay Data
Previous P45 employment
The totals in this section refer to employees who started working for you part way through the new tax year. The values relate to the previous employment only.
Current employment
These totals refer to values in the tax year from this employment only values from any previous employment are not included.
Tax Year To Date values
These totals include values from both the previous employment and the current employment in the tax year.
- Total Gross Pay: The total gross pay of the employee, prior to any deductions being made will be displayed here.
- Gross Pay For Tax: The total amount of gross pay for the tax year which is subject to tax before any tax free allowances have been deducted or any additional pay is added in the case of K codes will be displayed here.
- Gross Pay For NI: This field displays the total amount of gross pay for the tax year that is subject to National Insurance contributions.
- Gross Pay For Pension: This field displays the total amount of gross pay for the tax year that is subject to Pension contributions for the current employment only.
- Gross Tax Refund: The total amount of tax refund received for the tax year for the current employment will be displayed here.
- Gross PAYE: The total amount of Pay As You Earn tax paid for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Gross NIC Holiday Reclaim: The total amount of NIC Holiday paid for the tax year in the current employment will be displayed here.
Current National Insurance as on date (last date of employment)
This section displays the current NI cumulative totals of the employee as on date of leaving for the tax year.
- NI Category: This field displays the National Insurance category the employee has been under, as on date of leaving.
- Earnings Up To LEL: The employee's earnings up to the National Insurance Lower Earnings Limit (LEL) for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Earnings LEL To ET: The employee's earnings between the National Insurance Lower Earnings Limit and the Earnings Threshold (ET) for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Earnings ET To UEL: The employee's earnings to date (as on date of leaving) from the National Insurance Earnings Threshold to the Upper Earnings Limit (UEL) for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Earnings Above UEL: The employee's earnings above the National Insurance Upper Earnings Limit for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's NIC: The employee's total National Insurance Contributions for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's Rebate: The amount of National Insurance rebate the employee has been entitled to for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's Net NIC: The difference amount of employee's NIC and employee's rebate for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employer's / Contractor's NIC: The employer's / Contractor's National Insurance Contributions made for the employee for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employer's / Contractor's Rebate: The amount of National Insurance rebate the employer / contractor has been entitled to for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employer's / Contractor's Net NIC: The difference amount of employer's / Contractor's NIC and employer's / Contractor's rebate for the year will be displayed here.
Previous NI (National Insurance)
This section displays the previous NI cumulative totals of the employee for the tax year.
- NI Category: This field displays any previous National Insurance category the employee has been under, for the tax year.
- Earnings Up To LEL: The employee's earnings, up to the lower earnings limit for National Insurance Contributions, under the previous NI Category selected will be displayed here.
- Earnings LEL To ET: The employee's earnings, between the lower earnings limit and the employee's earnings threshold for National Insurance Contributions, under the previous NI Category selected will be displayed here.
- Earnings ET To UEL: The employee's earnings, from the employee's earnings threshold up to the upper earnings limit for National Insurance Contributions, under the previous NI Category for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Earnings Above UEL: The employee's earnings, above the upper earnings limit for National Insurance Contributions, under the previous NI Category for tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's NIC: The employee's total National Insurance Contributions for the previous NI Category for the tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's Rebate: The amount of previous National Insurance rebate that the employee has been entitled to, under the previous NI Category for tax year will be displayed here.
- Employee's Net NIC: The difference amount of employee's NIC and employee's rebate for the previous NI Category for the tax year will be displayed here.
