Chart of Setup
Use
The Chart of Setup section is where you can customise the various payroll related elements based on your company policy. It includes your Pay Period setup, Annual Holiday Scheme setup, Payment setup, Absence Payment and Deduction setup, role setup, VAT setup etc. You can go through each option described here and enter the information as appropriate.

Fields Available
- Pay Period Setup: You can use this option to define pay period for your weekly, monthly, two-weekly, four-weekly, Quarterly, Annual and Bi-annual paid employees. You can edit it as and when required.
- Expense Setup: You can set up the Expense items your company may use. By default our service has set up predefined expense items which can be further edited.
- Basic and other payment setup: You can setup the various payment items in this screen. Our service provides you with some pre-defined payment items, which cannot be edited. Further you can customise your own payment items, if the pre-defined items does not meet your requirements. You can also specify if each individual payment item is subjected to PAYE, NI or pension contributions.
- Role Setup: You can set up different roles in this section that will further be replicated while adding a new project to the application. These roles also appear in the timesheet where you can select the appropriate role to bill the client for a particular project.
- Rate of VAT Setup: Here you can setup the percentage of VAT for billing the project. Our service has predefined the VAT rate that can be further edited.
- Department Setup: You can enter or edit various departments of your company in this screen, which can be later assigned, to your employees. Department information is displayed on employees pay slips and can be a useful aid to help you with identification of employees. Our service provides you with some pre-defined departments, which can be edited.
- Cost Center Setup: You can enter or edit various cost centers of your company in this screen, which can be later assigned, to your employees. Our service provides you with some pre-defined cost centers, which can be edited.
- Absence Payment & Record Setup: You can enter and record the various absence payment items in this screen. Our service provides you with some pre-defined absence payment items, which cannot be edited. Further you can customise your own absence payment items, if the pre-defined items does not meet your requirements. You can also specify if each individual absence payment item is subjected to PAYE, NI or pension contributions.
